Add employees to your page in Connect

Connect Web

Add one employee at a time, enroll someone in a paid plan, or import a larger employee list.

Purpose

Add employees to your Happenings page and choose the onboarding method that matches the situation.

In Connect, an employee is managed as a member of your page. Adding the member is the first step; you can then place the employee in a department and send benefits.

Before you start

You need permission to manage or import members. If Quick signup is not available, ask a page administrator to check your role.

Have the employee’s name and email address ready. For a paid membership, also choose the correct membership plan.

Choose an onboarding method

  • Use Quick signup when you are adding one person while working in Connect.
  • Use a QR code when the employee should complete a paid signup on their own device.
  • Use a spreadsheet import when you are adding or updating many employees. See Import members from a spreadsheet.

Step by step: add one employee

  1. Open Members.
  2. Select Quick signup.
  3. Under Membership plan, choose Free membership (no plan) for a basic employee account, or select the paid plan the employee should join.
  4. Enter the employee’s Name and Email.
  5. Select Create member.
  6. To continue with another employee, select Add next.
  7. Return to Members and search for the employee to confirm that the record appears.

Step by step: let an employee complete a paid signup

  1. Open Members and select Quick signup.
  2. Select the relevant paid membership plan.
  3. Choose Single-use QR when the code is for one signup only, or Reusable QR when several eligible employees may use the same enrollment flow.
  4. Select Show QR code.
  5. Ask the employee to scan the code and complete the signup on their own device.
  6. Confirm the result in Members before assigning a department or benefit.

Complete the employee setup

After the employee appears in Members:

  1. Assign the employee’s department using a community title. See Manage community titles.
  2. Add any other role or access title the employee needs.
  3. Prepare the benefit product the employee should receive. See Create and manage products.

Troubleshooting

The employee does not appear

Search by both name and email. Check Invited if the person has not completed an invitation, and check Former members if the person previously belonged to the page.

I chose the wrong membership plan

Do not create duplicate member records. Open the existing member first and review their current membership. Ask a page administrator or Happenings support if the plan cannot be corrected from the available actions.

The employee already exists

Use the existing record. Duplicate records make department assignments, benefits, and usage history harder to audit.
