Create a product with member pricing in Connect
Create one shop product with public and member prices, stock, validity, category, and age rules.
Purpose
Create one product with a public price and an optional lower price for active page members.
Use member pricing when the same item should remain visible to everyone while membership gives a clear saving. You do not need a second hidden product for members.
Add the product details
- Open Products and select Create product.
- Under Product details, enter a clear Product name.
- Add a Description that tells buyers what they receive and how it is redeemed.
- Add an optional Emoji to make the product easier to recognize.
- Select Continue.
Set the public and member prices
- Under Pricing & stock, enter the normal Price.
- In Member price, enter what active page members should pay.
- Leave Member price empty when everyone should pay one price.
- Set it to 0 when the product should be free for members.
The member price can equal the normal price, but it cannot be higher. Both prices use DKK.
An active member sees the member price together with the crossed-out public price. A non-member sees the public price and the amount members pay. The buyer must already have an active membership; guest checkout does not receive member pricing.
Connect checks membership again when the order is created. The price shown while browsing does not override the buyer's membership status at payment time.
Complete pricing and availability
- Set Tracked inventory to 0 for unlimited stock, or enter the total number available.
- Under When can it be used?, optionally set Works from and Stops working.
- Select Continue.
- Choose the Category and Age limit.
- On Review your product, check the name, prices, stock, validity, category, and age limit.
- Select Create product.
The member price is currently set during creation and is not shown in Edit product afterward. Check it carefully before creating the product.
Manage the product after creation
Use Edit product to update its name, description, normal price, category, age limit, usage window, folder, visibility, and tracked inventory. Use the product menu for stock adjustments, inventory history, coupon sends, redemption re-timing, and archiving.
See Manage product visibility, stock, and validity for those ongoing tasks.
Troubleshooting
Member price is rejected
Enter zero or a positive amount that is no higher than Price. Leave the field empty instead of entering a placeholder when you do not want member pricing.
A buyer receives the public price
Confirm that the buyer is signed in and has an active membership for the selling page or an eligible parent page. Guest checkout always uses the public price.
The product should not be visible yet
Create it, then open Edit product and turn off Visible on the page before sharing or distributing it.
