Use AI to distribute coupons to a specific member group

Connect Web

Check product, audience and quantity, approve the distribution and verify issuance without sending twice.

Try: “Prepare one coupon per member on this plan. Show the product and audience first.”

Define the coupon

Provide the page, product, quantity per recipient and precise audience. A coupon is an issued product entitlement, not automatically a ticket, discount code or proof of purchase. See the differences.

Workflow for the AI assistant

  1. Read the correct page and product. Check use and validity with read commands discovered through hap_help.
  2. Look up coupons distribute. Targets may include page members, specific users, community titles and membership plans. Use only current options.
  3. Resolve the plan or title to its ID. Clarify group overlap and at most one allocation per person.
  4. Show the product, audience and quantity. A command_only preview is not an actual recipient count.
  5. Preview with hap_run and dry_run: true. Distribute with dry_run: false after approval.

Duplicates and outcome

Use a stable idempotency key when supported. After a lost response, do not use a new key for the same distribution. First reconcile whether it exists, or retry the exact request with the same key when supported.

A preview is not issuance. Queued or processing does not mean all coupons were issued. Inspect distribution and recipients with available reads; say when status cannot be verified.

Report created, skipped and failed allocations when provided. Issuance does not prove email delivery. Do not send a separate member message without the user’s instruction.
