Use AI to change a member’s plan, status or expiry
Identify the correct member, approve a narrowly defined access change and verify the result afterward.
Try: “Find this member and show the change to the correct plan. Wait for my approval.”
Define the change
Provide the page, person and intended result. Use an email or unique reference when names overlap. Plan changes, pausing, resuming, applicant approval and expiry are different actions.
Workflow for the AI assistant
- Read access pages list. Find the member with members list or members find, then read current status with members get. Check parameters in hap_help.
- For a plan change, read members plans list and match the plan. Do not create a new plan because the first search missed its name.
- Look up the action: members change-plan, members pause, members update-expiry or members approve.
- Show the person, page and before/after values. Resolve the date, year and timezone for expiry.
- Preview with hap_run and dry_run: true. Execute the same agreed change with dry_run: false after approval.
- Reread the member and verify the outcome. Do not repeat an already successful change.
Separate different effects
A plan change does not itself establish payment, refund or altered subscription charges. Investigate financial effects separately when the response does not establish them.
Membership and Connect team access are different. A membership correction must not silently grant administrator access.
Removing, transferring and merging members are outside this workflow. Treat them as separate tasks with identified people and consequences.
If the role lacks access, explain that and refer to an existing page administrator.
