Participate in a page forum

Page forums give members a focused place to share updates and start discussions with their community.

Open the forum

1. Open the page that hosts the forum.
2. Open Forums, then choose the forum you want to read.
3. If the forum is restricted, choose Join before trying to read or post. A restricted forum is only open to its members.

You can choose Leave later if you no longer want to be a member of the forum.

Create a post

When you have permission to post:

1. Enter a headline if the post needs one. The headline is optional.
2. Write the post in Text. The post text is required.
3. Choose who should appear as the author:
   • Yourself publishes with your own profile.
   • The page is available to people who manage the page.
   • Anonymous is available only when the forum's policy allows it.
4. Publish the post.

Your post appears in the forum with its author and comment count.

Understand anonymous posting

An anonymous post hides your name and profile picture from other readers. Happenings uses a stable anonymous identity for you inside that forum, so your anonymous posts there remain recognisable as coming from the same participant.

Anonymous does not mean unmoderated. Forum moderators can still act when a post breaks the community rules.

If you cannot post

Check these first:

• Join the forum if it is restricted.
• Confirm that the forum currently allows you to post.
• Add text to the post before publishing.
• Choose one of the author options shown to you; page and anonymous authorship depend on your permissions and the forum policy.
