Purpose

Use Friends on the web to add suggested people, respond to friend requests, search your friend list, and manage existing connections.

When to use this

Use this when you want to review Suggested friends, handle Incoming requests or Sent requests, or change an existing friendship.

Step by step

1. Open Friends on the web.
2. Under Suggested friends, select Add friend to send a request. The person moves to Sent requests with the status Pending.
3. To withdraw a sent request, select Cancel on that request.
4. Under Incoming requests, select Accept to add the person to Friends, or select Decline to remove the request.
5. Enter a name or username in Search friends… to filter your existing friends.
6. Open a friend's action menu and select Remove friend to end the friendship, or Block user to remove the friend and add the person to Blocked users.
7. Under Blocked users, select Unblock to remove someone from the blocked list.

Troubleshooting

• Couldn't load your social graph. Refresh the page and try again.
• Couldn't send the friend request. Try Add friend again.
• Couldn't accept the friend request. Try Accept again.
• Couldn't decline the friend request. Try Decline again.
• Couldn't cancel the friend request. Try Cancel again.
• Couldn't remove this friend. Try Remove friend again.
• Couldn't block this user. Try Block user again.
• Couldn't unblock this user. Try Unblock again.
