Purpose

Create a group conversation with friends in the Happenings app.

When to use this

Use this when you want one conversation for a study group, club, or group of friends. At least one friend must already be available in your friend list.

Step by step

1. In the Happenings app, open Chat.
2. Tap the top-right button introduced as Start a chat. The New group screen opens.
3. Enter a name in Group name.
4. Under Add people, tap each friend you want to include.
5. Tap Create. The screen closes and Chat refreshes with the new group conversation.

How it fits together

The group becomes one conversation in Chat. Everyone you selected is added when the group is created.

Troubleshooting

• No friends yet with Add friends to start a group chat. means there is nobody available to add. Add at least one friend before returning to the New group screen.
• Couldn't create the group. means the group was not created. Tap Create again.
